Summer Camp at AGDT!
It’s summer in the city, and we want to play and have some fun with you and your dog!
Join our certified trainers for flexible, drop-in training camps held outdoors in Central Park and at our W85th facility. Each one-hour workshop is tailored to the group and covers skills like leash skills, recall skills, self-control, agility, tricks and more. Every session is a new experience, perfect for friendly, well-socialized dogs. Please check individual camps for dates, times & descriptions!

Agility Camp
Give your dogs the fun they crave. Each class will include instruction on each agility obstacle (jumps, limbos, hoop, tunnel, weave polls and more!) and an opportunity for your dog to get some healthy exercise inside during the hottest months of the year! This is an indoor camp that meets at AGDT 76 W85th.

Leash Training Camp
This drop in class is a great chance to brush up your leash walking skills with your dog, or start from scratch! We’ll go over the basics of how to walk on leash, how to prevent and troubleshoot pulling, and when to give sniff breaks so our dogs get the most out of their walks! Every class will be different! This class meets at AGDT 76 W85th. Classes will venture outside depending on weather!

Off Leash Recall Camp
This is an outdoor camp that meets on W85th and CPW during off leash hours. Come work on off leash recall skills in the park with our trainers.

Recall Training Camp
This drop in camp will go over all levels of recall, or teaching your dog to come to you reliably and stay with you! Bring a standard leash and a long line to each class. Each one will be tailored to the needs of the class. This class meets at AGDT 76 W85th St. Classes will venture outside depending on weather!

Self Control Camp
This drop in camp will go over all the basics of impulse control- or teaching dogs the best way to ask for the things they want! We’ll go over jumping, leash pulling, and leave it exercises. This camp meets indoors at AGDT 76 W85th.

Urban Agility Camp
This drop in camp will give your dog the basics of using Central Park as one big agility course! AKA Dog Parkour. All levels are welcome as each class will be tailored to the group. This class meets at AGDT 76 W85th St before venturing to Central Park!

Junior Trainers Camp
Attention families with kids 7 and up! This class is all about getting the leash in the hands of our younger family members! This class will go over basic commands and principles that the whole family can do, as well as a few tricks! For dogs of all ages! All dogs enrolled must be friendly with children, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Meets indoors at AGDT 76 W85th St.

Nosework Camp
This camp takes a fun look at this instinctual dog sport! We’ll teach our dog how to hunt for scents and smells like treats, anise, birch, clove, or even your own objects! Have fun exploring the best way to mentally and physically exercise your dog! Please bring food your dog loves to class! This camp meets indoors at AGDT 76 W85th

Public Manners Camp
This camp will go over basic manners concepts in a public setting. We will be getting real time practice being calm in stores, settling at an outdoor cafe, and lots of leash manner practice!

Rally Camp
Explore level one rally tasks with a playful twist! This class is all about getting you and your dog in-tune with each other! Your dog will be following you through a cue-obstacle course! These skills are super helpful for walks and a clear, consistent execution of cues. We'll practice all the basic cues like sit, down, recall, and dive deep into leash walking! This class meets indoors at AGDT 76 W85th St.

Tricks Camp
Ever wondered how those dogs on social media ever learned how to do that? Come explore the vast world of tricks with techniques on how to teach our dog complex movements with confidence. We’ll also explore those cute favorites of paw, high five, spin, jump, rollover, or bow. We may also mix it up with those hard ones like back up, go around, jump in, paws up, pivot, and more! All levels welcome! Please bring treats to class. This camp meets indoors at AGDT 76 W85th.
